At the recent Verisk Insurance Conference in Orlando Florida, AM Best TV interviewed Anna Neely, Managing Director R&D and Cat Response at Howden Re, and Cortney Miller, Director of Weather Solutions at Verisk to find out how weather data is being used for catastrophic event response and critical predictive weather pattern analysis – and how that data is being used to benefit clients to understand more accurately the potential risks and associated impact.
Both Neely and Miller mention how data analysis revealed hail in 2023 that occurred in more populated areas, combined with inflation, helped drive losses higher than in 2022.
