“When you think about the admitted market and the impact that secondary perils have had over the last ten years…. there’s a very stark trend line that builds” said Brian, Managing Director, Howden Re. “Loss trends are materially outpacing rate and with the changes in the reinsurance market, cedants are losing access to a historically efficient and cost effective pool of capital. It puts a lot of pressure on admitted carriers – and the product that they’re offering – to stay relevant. It presents a massive opportunity for the E&S market to offer solutions to these challenging dynamics.”
